Sam Potter
I’m Sam Potter. I’m the Artistic Director at ILLUSIONS DANCE STUDIO and I teach all levels of dancers. I studied Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, and Dance at Clarion University where I also participated in cheerleading, performance dance, and instructed acrobatics classes at the local competitive dance studio. After college I moved to Pittsburgh to attend Graduate school at Duquesne University where I instructed fitness classes and joined Exhalations contemporary dance company. I moved back home to Philipsburg to start a dance studio that helps kids have fun and feel safe while they build strong capable bodies and creative art. The success of ILLUSIONS so far has been overwhelming to me and I am thankful every day for this opportunity. Some of you might also know me from coaching cheerleading at Philipsburg-Osceola and Cheer Central All-Stars or from choreographing the musicals at Clearfield High School, Moshannon Valley Jr. / Sr. High School, Philipsburg-Osceola Middle School, and IGNITE Youth Theatre here at Front & Centre Productions...and I may have even mixed your paint at Kephart Ace Hardware!
Brandy Williams
I began my dance training at Shaw and Ghaner School of Dance where I studied ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, tumbling, and baton twirling, I was a member of the competitive dance team, competing at regional and national competitions both in and out of state. My passion for dance quickly grew into a passion for teaching. Along with teaching at the studio for recreation and competitive classes, I also served as choreographer for the Philipsburg-Osceola High School Drama Department for 14 years and was the choreographer for the Clearfield High School Show Choir for several years. Since joining ILLUSIONS in 2020, I helped launch and grow the studio’s first competitive dance team. Teaching dance is truly one of the most rewarding parts of my life. I love helping each dancer grow not only in technique and performance, but also in confidence and passion. I’m excited for another season filled with hard work, growth, fun, and unforgettable memories!
Sydney Heichel
Hi! My name is Sydney Heichel, and I am one of the dance teachers at ILLUSIONS! Dance has been a part of my life since I was 6 years old, and I have been teaching with ILLUSIONS since 2022! Becoming a dance teacher was a dream of mine, so I feel incredibly blessed to be able to do what I love! In my dance classes we like to have fun, and I do my best to make it a place where if you’re already happy we shout for joy, and if you’re sad you leave with your frown turned upside down! My faith is also important to me, so you will find that shine through my dance classes, as well! In my free time I love hanging out with my husband Micah, our dog Brook, and the rest of our family! We love going on adventures ranging anywhere from the city to the woods, and doing our best to make everyday fun within the ordinary! I look forward to meeting and teaching you! I am confident that you will love ILLUSIONS Dance Studio!
Erica Wimer
My love for dance started at The Dance Co. in Clearfield, PA at the age of 5. I studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Contemporary throughout my career while also competing on the competitive dance team. I began competing at dance competitions in early elementary school and continued throughout high school. After high school, I attended Penn State University and was given the opportunity to teach for ILLUSIONS Dance Studio in 2019. I taught for ILLUSIONS until 2022 when I moved to California for graduate school. Upon graduating and returning to my hometown, I was welcomed back to ILLUSIONS with open arms. In addition to teaching dance classes, I am a behavioral therapist for elementary aged children and a full-time student earning a post-graduate certificate in clinical counseling.

Beginner
This age group is for those in Pre-K to Kindergarten. It is meant for first time dancers or those that require parent involvement
Petite
This age group is also for those in Pre-K to Kindergarten but for those that have experience or do not require parent involvement
Youth
This age group is for those in Grade 1 through Grade 3
Junior
This age group is for those in Grade 4 through Grade 6
Senior
This age group is for those in Grade 7 through Grade 12
