Front and Centre Productions is devoted to our students pursuing their educational or occupational dreams after they exit our programs. FAC is proud to offer two scholarships to high school seniors as they begin their next journey into the world.
The Jacob Williams Memorial Scholarship
Each year we honor a senior member of IGNITE Youth Theatre as the recipient of The Jacob Williams Memorial Scholarship. The Mission of the Jacob Williams Memorial Scholarship is to recognize the IGNITE Youth Theatre senior cast member who best exemplifies the spirit of IGNITE. This cast member will have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, a commitment to academic excellence, a strong work ethic and a dedication to achieving success through teamwork.
The J.E.M. - Youth Leadership Scholarship
In honor of the dedication of the Switala Family to the arts in the Moshannon Valley area, as exemplified through the commitment of Joanna, Emily, and Meredith Switala. The J.E.M. - Youth Leadership Scholarship is a $500 Scholarship to be awarded to a graduating senior who has participated in any of the Front and Centre, Inc. educational programs. Including: IGNITE Youth Theatre, ILLUSIONS Dance, ILLUMINATE Music, INSPIRE Community Theatre, and IMAGINE Arts and Craft throughout their high school career

The qualifications of this scholarship are:
Applicant must have participated in one of Front and Centre Productions' programs during their time in high school
Applicant must be planning to further their education at a university, community college, trade, military, or technical school
The application requirements are:
Up to date resume
2 Letters of Recommendation regarding your leadership and mentorship experiences
Please attach a typed essay (no more than 750 words) that answers the following questions:
What has IGNITE Youth Theatre taught you?
What is your favorite IGNITE memory?
What has IGNITE meant to you?
Completion of an interview to be held the third week of July
Scholarship Process:
Google Form Applications must be submitted by Friday, July 19 at 5:00PM
All materials will be given a code (EX W20-1) by the Artistic Director, to ensure anonymity
Scholarships will be reviewed by the four members of the Scholarship Committee and given a score out of 25 (totaling a score out of 100)
Awards will be given at the end of the closing summer production
Peyton Reese - 2023 Jacob Williams Scholarship Winner
Peyton is a graduate from Clearfield Area Junior Senior High School, where she was involved in Drama Club, Band, Jazz Band, Bandfront, Choir, Show Choir, Orchestra, and Tennis! She is a Freshman at Penn West California University. Peyton is a Performing Arts major with a primary focus in musical theatre, and a secondary focus in costume design / creation.
